Day 1:
You will be picked up by a minibus at your hotel and transferred to the airport.
DEPARTURE from Aeroparque (Bs As domestic airport) is at about 11:00 hs and
ARRIVAL in Bariloche is at about 13:00hs.
Transfer to Estancia Tres Lagos where you will be accommodated in your comfortable log cabins. Lunch will be laid out and there will be an afternoon ride so everyone gets acquainted with their horses. After a good and refreshing shower or swim in the river. Jinny the owner of the estancia and a wonderful cook, will spoil us with a sumptuous dinner set in the homestead which is our bar and dining room.
Day 2:
A whole day ride along the edge of the Faulkner Lake, argentine style asado picnic lunch and a little time for siesta before climbing Buque mountain where the fly camp is already set up before we get there.
Day 3:
Another day ride back towards the homestead riding along the spectacular ridges of the Buque mountain, again breaking for another relaxing lunch.
Day 4:
Departing around 9 am and taking the lakeside route and climbing high into the mountains to the top of the “Cerro Bayo” where the views are magnificent. A short stop to enjoy a picnic and then continue on to the overnight campsite where dinner will be enjoyed around a roaring campfire.
Day 5:
Break camp and head towards the Lake Traful valley covering very varied ground like a path along the side of Lake Traful and through a native forest of Coihue (Nothofagus dombeyi) some of which are more than 40mts high. Our lunch stop is at the house of a local settler called Felipe. His house is only accessible by boat or horseback and as a result has incredible old fashioned charm. After lunch we head to Estancia Arroyo Verde, this farm is situated in the foothills of the Andes mountain range near Bariloche in northern Patagonia. The Estancia occupies an area of 12,500 and is devoted to cattle breeding and sheep-rearing. This property lies within a natural reserve which is part of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It has varied flora and fauna and is a nature lover’s paradise.
Day 6:
Breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to Bariloche airport at 11hs.
DEPARTURE from San Carlos de Bariloche (Rio Negro International Airport) in a two hours flight to Buenos Aires City.
ARRIVAL in Buenos Aires is at about 14:00hs.
Short drive from airport to the riverfront and then transfer on an old “cacciola” boat to Don Felipe island on the famous Tigre , part of the Paraná Delta. Dinner on the island.
Day 7:
Relaxing morning at the Island with a spot of swimming and sunbathing after breakfast. Transfer back to airport at noon. Short flight to Mar del Plata, about 400 km south of Buenos Aires. Short Transfer by car from Mar del Plata airport to Estancia El Golf. Tea will be served on arrival at the house and the afternoon activity could be a ride or a walk before dinner.
Day 8:
The morning after arrival is for relaxing. We bring in a team of masseuses and those who are waiting for their turn can relax at the swimming pool drinking Clericots which is our argentine version of a Pimms.
Day 9:
The itinerary at the Estancia is flexible. Riding is the main feature, in the shape of riding out, polo lessons for beginners or cross country jumping for the adrenaline seekers. The rolling hills in this area provide unparalleled and unlimited open ground for fast canters and rides are an average of 3 hours long.
Day 10:
Proper polo matches can be organised and for the trigger happy we also have a clay pigeon shoot but both come at an additional cost.
Day 11:
Morning program and departure after breakfast back to Buenos Aires.
